Cheeseburger anyone?

On Saturday afternoon we hosted a picnic at our house. It was a casual afternoon of bar-b-q, volleyball, and a farewell party for one of Erik's co-workers. Crazy thing is, Erik invited everyone on Friday afternoon so he had to get everything purchased and ready by 3:00p on Saturday because the kids and I had a birthday party to attend.
It was a good lesson for Erik. I think I received 30 phone calls from him on Saturday frustrated by not finding what he needs and having to go to multiple shops to accomplish rather easy tasks. I told him "Welcome to my world."

Anyway, all of Erik's efforts were hugely appreciated because the summer picnic was a lot of fun.

Erik borrowed a neighbor's volleyball net and tied it to palm trees.

Annika invited two friends to come over for a hot dog.

Grilling was done in the car port so we could be shaded and keep the heat away from the other guests.

Lots of hanging

Volleyball went until the mosquitoes got too much to bear

We pushed the furniture out of the way and ended the night with a little Bhagra dance party
