Erik's trip to Nature Preserve/Golden Temple in Coorg, India

Erik and three friends took a trip to a Wildlife Park in Coorg, India. They had to leave town at 5:00am to start their journey. He called me 5 hours later and they were still on the road. It ended up taking 5.5 hours. I asked if it was worth the trip and I believe his answer was "Hell Yeah!"

He got to feed an elephant, ride an elephant, and see all kinds of other attractions around the park. He got to do everything he wanted except one because the line was too long. So I said, "Oh, it was crowded?" and he replied "This is India, it's always crowded."

On their way back home they detoured to the Golden Temple, a Buddhist Monastery. Erik said it was amazing. He said it was the epitome of what he envisioned when he thought of "India". While he was there, he was able to hear chanting from the Temple, he thought it was divine, literally.

He's very excited to take me/the kids around to the places he has discovered. He said he's making mental notes on how to make the long drives more kid friendly. Speaking of long drives, he said the return trip was more like 6 hours.
