At 6:15am on Day 2 we were off for our Jeep Safari. Just Sue, the kids and I opted for this one. We had to take a boat to the Jeep.
The Jeep Safari took us through a section of Nagarhole National Park
The morning was chilly - glad I brought long sleeve shirts for the three of us - Annika wore mine and hers
Nagarhole is home to the worlds largest deer
We saw lots and lots of these spotted deer - unfortunately our Natualist told us such large gatherings of grazing deer means danger is not nearby. Translated: no tiger nearby :-(

Now back home to experience an elephant up close and personal!
This lovely lady is 45 years young and was captured in Kerala when she was 3 years old. I loved being near her.
All aboard!
Loved it! Kids loved it!
Sue loved it!
Time to cool off
Auggie went TWICE!
Scorpion in a bottle - the Naturalist holding the bottle set it free after we left
Auggie slipped on a boulder in the swimming pool and got pinned, upside down, between the boulder and the side of the pool. He manage to right himself just as I was grabbing for his ankle. The boulder scratched his back as he went down
We enjoyed a beautiful rainstorm while in comfy chairs having Masala Tea, Auggie fell asleep on my lap bundled in pool towels
It was a lovely day
