Trip to Delhi - Day 2 - The Wedding

We tied our own Sarees!!! It was so fun getting ready! The beautiful clothes, the make-up and the jewelry! Here is Jenne trying to put on all of her bangles.

Yeah, bare midriff... hard to get used to.

I liked my sparkly shoes. :-)

A closer look at Jenne's bangles.

A Pooja for the husband-to-be.

The groom arrived by carriage drawn by white horses and surrounded by a marching band and revelers. It was high energy and partying in the streets.

Here comes the bride...

The wedding party lasted until midnight, then we were guided into a room where the actual wedding took place. This ceremony lasted 1.5 hours and was done completely in Sanskrit. It took a few cups of coffee to keep me alert until the end. We rolled into bed around 3:00am.
