Getting out into Delhi it's easy to see that it's bigger, more populated, and more impoverished than Bangalore.
Lots and lots of bicycle ricksaws. I saw one boy, maybe 16 years old, cycling around 4 adult men in his carriage. I also saw large deliveries being made by bicycle ricksaw. Pollution must be HORRIBLE riding in or driving one of those... it was bad from inside a car with the windows up.
We don't have bicycle rickshaws in Bangalore.
By the time we passed this Ox it was foaming at the mouth... poor thing.
John and Jenne had gone through the Lonely Planet guide of Delhi and had a few sites picked out that they wanted to see. They included The Red Fort and the Lotus Temple.
We arrived at The Red Fort around 11:00a and it was closed until 2:00p. Dang.
We drove to the Lotus Temple and it was closed for the weekend due to the Baha'i Annual Conference. Dude!!
So we went to Qutub Minar instead. It wasn't on our short list but we were pleasantly surprised. Maybe the other sites were closed for a reason...
Meditating in a peaceful spot.
These guys asked John to take a photo with them, so I took their photo.
I played with this stray dog for a little while then John came and sat down near me. The dog went and sniffed John's shoe, then lifted her hind leg. Nothing happened but it was good for a laugh. Then the dog played around for a little while, sniffed his shoe again, and lifted her leg again...
