The fountain was on at the pool, and this being India, the suction intake pipe for the fountain was in the shallow end of the pool with no grate or protective covering over it. August was playing around and started screaming (at the same time the fountain mysteriously went to a lesser height). I swam over to him and his entire knee cap was being suctioned up this tube at brute force. I didn't know if I'd cause horrible damage by yanking his leg out of the tube - but at the same time (again, this being India) it would take 15 minutes for someone to come and turn off the fountain. I decided to yank... it turned out to be the right decision.
