Ugadi is the New Year celebration celebrated in Karnataka.
And what's really awesome?? Erik has the day off work but the kids don't have the day off school. Yeah! Leisure time with the hubby!!

Part of the celebration of Ugadi covering yourself in a thick oil first thing in the morning and you wear it all day. Here is my gardener, working in the hot sun, coated in thick oil. Really sounds like a tradition I'd like to start.
